Cancellation Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most contracts you enter into away from our business premises within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason.

When the right applies

The 14-day cancellation right applies to contracts that are:

  • Off-premises contracts — most plumbing work, since we visit your home or premises rather than you visiting a shop;
  • Distance contracts — contracts agreed entirely by phone, email, WhatsApp or website with no in-person meeting.

The 14-day period starts the day after the contract is concluded (i.e. the day after you accept our quote and we agree a date).

Effect of cancellation

If you cancel within the 14-day period and we have not yet started work, we will refund any payments you have made within 14 days of receiving your cancellation.

If you have asked us to begin work during the 14-day cancellation period (for example, because the work is urgent), and you then cancel, you must pay us for the work we have already done up to the point of cancellation, calculated proportionally to the agreed price.

Loss of cancellation right after work begins

Once we have fully completed the work at your express request during the 14-day period, you lose the right to cancel for that completed work. We will always make clear, before starting any urgent work during the cancellation period, that this is the case.
